I am a fully qualified fitness instructor based in the Dun Laoghaire area organising running groups for people of all abilities. I have Beginner Running Courses for those who have never run before or who have had a long break from it. For those who are already runners but would like some company when running or to improve their running distance and consistency I have a group that meet weekly to run together. Covid-19... Light at the end of the tunnel
Covid-19 put a stop to many things in 2020 including our running groups! I know many of our members were running solo during lockdown to keep themselves active and keep their head together which was great! To help keep everyone moving during lockdown I created a few aerobic & strength workouts which can be viewed below. They are c5min each so you can decide how many you want to do depending on how much time you have. Good fun with the music blaring to motivate you!
With the gradual lifting of restrictions small groups can run together while maintaining social distance and using good respiratory hygiene. I will update the website when I have confirmed dates for our return to regular weekly running and our next beginners running course. She was able to help me build up my pace and distance in a very manageable way rather than pushing myself too far and throwing in the towel when I was running alone.
The Monday night runs are great, it’s such a relaxed friendly group and very supportive.
