I joined KFF running group just under a year ago. I was an occasional runner, I would train for a charity 5km or 10km but then just stop. After my 2nd son, I wanted something to keep me fit and make exercise a regular part of my routine. I completed 2 half marathons this year and now can say I enjoy running! I tried running by myself a few times but I never managed to get very far. I started with Gráinne as a beginner in February and ran the women’s mini marathon in June.
She was able to help me build up my pace and distance in a very manageable way rather than pushing myself too far and throwing in the towel when I was running alone.
The Monday night runs are great, it’s such a relaxed friendly group and very supportive.
Gráinne is so knowledgeable, knows exactly what you’re able for and how to help you progress. Can’t recommend her highly enough.

Best thing I ever did was join Grainne's running group. Went from being a walker to a runner in a matter of weeks and met new running buddies in the process. Grainne is so encouraging and helps everyone find their comfortable level. Did the 5km 1916 commemorative run a few weeks back in 32 mins - loved it!

This morning I did my first Parkrun. Over the last 7 weeks I've been doing a 'Couch to 5K' with Keane For Fitness. Week 1 back on Monday April 27th was to jog for 1 min. Fast forward to today, week 7, & I've just done a 5k run in Marlay Park in 34 mins. I owe a huge thank you to Grainne @ Keane For Fitness. She was fantastic - motivational, enthusiastic, always positive & a wealth of knowledge. I have 2 girls in primary school so June 30th sees the end of morning exercise for me. I started this so I could keep fit over the Summer & now in the evenings or over the weekend I can go out for a run. I am so glad I did this.
