For those who can run a few miles at a time but would like to progress to 10km and beyond this is the group to join.
We start at 5km stage and build gradually to increase distance and pace. Some sessions will include interval training to improve fitness levels and run-specific strength work to build the key muscles used in running. The programme runs for 10-weeks and members will be able to run for 60mins non-stop on completion. Members are given a weekly programme to help them progress in between the weekly running session.
All running sessions will include a warm-up and cool-down and general advice about running. Runners will be encouraged to maintain their fitness levels by doing other runs/aerobic exercise during the week.
